Reinhausen announces 100 million Euro expansion project

Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) announced a 100 million Euro expansion plan for the MR facility in Haslback recently at a press conference held in the Old Town Hall. Haslback is a suburban area of Regensburg as is the area known as Reinhausen. The project is targeted for completion in 2022.

The Haslback facility was opened in 1993 and has experienced continuous expansion projects through the years. The most recent investment project was a high-automation materials management center. The relocation of tap changer assembly, shipping and major administration groups to the Haslback location resulted in the MR employee population to over 2,000.

The original Reinhausen area location which shaped the company’s history is gradually being converted into a campus for research activities and well as expansion of software and consultation services.

ICMI West Sales Area Welcomes New Manager, Bret Dianich

Effective August 1 Bret Dianich assumed the role of sales manager in the West sales area and actually accompanied Reinhausen’s Markus Stank from Germany on customer sales calls his first day on the job. “That’s the kind of fast start in the west I want” said Bret.

Bret’s recent employment history has a rich mix of technical product sales to utilities from FreeWave Technologies, experience working as a manufacturer’s representative salesperson at Process Control Dynamics, and a strong entrepreneur bias demonstrated by opening his own business, BD Ventures LLC.

Bret commented on the new assignment “I think there is a good foundation to take the West and our representatives to the next level. Let’s build something together.”

Bret holds a BA degree from the University of Georgia and resides in the Denver CO area where he will support, train and lead his external team of manufacturer’s representatives.

Power One Corporation in Illinois strengthens midwest

Jim Chaggaris and Power One, St. Charles IL, join forces with ICMI – Reinhausen to strengthen customer support and sales in the Midwest.

Jim is a 25-year veteran in utility sales with strong relationships with his customers and a strong product line card offering. Central area sales manager, Charley Harwell. said “No doubt with Jim’s experience, long-standing relationships and clear track record of successes, we will experience significant growth in the area.” He added “and I think this will develop quickly.”

The Power One Corporation sales area is northern Illinois (Com Ed footprint), all of Iowa and specific customer accounts in Wisconsin including WE Energies, American Transmission Company, Wisconsin Public Service, Madison Gas & Electric, Alliant Energy, Forster Engineering, Power System Engineering and Electrical Consultants Inc..

Christy Porter joins ICMI team

ICMI welcomed Christy Porter to the inside team in the Amelia office this week in the role of Administrative Assistant.

Her initial activities focus on financial functions in support of Jennifer Hall and primary incoming telephone call routing. Eventually she will assist in quotation preparation and purchase order administration.

Christy brings a broad experience in account management, customer service and front office documentation and order processing.

Vice President Pence Visits ICMI Supplier

Dynalab, Inc. had the privilege of hosting Vice President Mike Pence at our facilities on Saturday, April 1, 2017. He participated in a roundtable discussion with Dynalab, Inc. founder and president, Gary James, U.S. Senator Rob Portman, U.S. Representative Pat Tiberi, and other members of the Central Ohio business community.

The group discussed existing challenges to business, including taxation and the regulatory environment, as well as the intent and plans of the new administration to address these issues. Following the roundtable discussion, VP Pence toured the Dynalab, Inc. facility and spoke to a private audience in excess of twenty minutes.

Elus Company noted for sales achievement
April 2017

ICMI awarded Elus Company, Cincinnati OH, 2016 Sales Excellence award in their office March 27, 2017. They were recognized for being number one nationally in 2016 for total product sales and also number one nationally in number of quotations to customers. Accepting the award on behalf of Elus Company was Erik Disalle, VP Sales. The picture on the left captures the moment with the full inside team at Elus, four of the outside sales people and the representatives from ICMI.

“We are recognizing the unique 2016 contributions of three of our representative firms and wanted to begin with Elus who is the pacesetter for 2017” said ICMI Managing Director Jay Cunningham. He added “two other outstanding representative firms are next to receive their recognition on the west coast”. Lunch for everyone was catered by ICMI to extend appreciation to the inside sales staff who support the outside field sales people at Elus. Representing ICMI were (in alphabetical order) Jay Cunningham, Dale Nieman, Jennifer Hall, Tony Milone and Tim Rinks.

ICMI unveils 2017 marketing plans
February 2017

Distributech 2017 in San Diego, Jan 31 –Feb 2, was the first installment on ICMI’s aggressive 2017 marketing plans. During the course of the year ICMI will participate in 10 industry conferences and trade show events. According to Managing Director, Jay Cunningham, “We have a great story and need to get it out to the customers. Most of them are not aware of our Reinhausen affiliation or that we are the source-point for Messko products in the United States”. ICMI invested in new trade show exhibit backdrops and demo equipment to support involvement in the industry events.

ICMI joins American Public Power Association (APPA) as a Corporate Associate Member

Public power is a collection of more than 2,000 community-owned electric utilities, serving more than 48 million people or about 14 percent of the nation's electricity consumers. Some of the nation's largest cities – Los Angeles, San Antonio, Seattle and Orlando – operate publicly owned electric utilities, but many public power communities are small with their utilities serving 3,000 or fewer customers.

Tony Milone joins ICMI as Northeast Sales Manager

Tony Milone assumed the role of Northeast Sales Manager on ICMI August 29, 2016. He brings 8 years of successful sales experience to his new role including three previous positions selling to the electric utility industry. One of his previous positions was working for a manufacturer’s representative company that sold to electric utility companies providing him with valuable insights to work with the three representative firms in the Northeast.

He holds a MBA and a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University. Tony resides in the Philadelphia, PA area.

Charley Harwell started June 15, 2016 as the Central Region sales manager with ICMI. He is a B.S. Electrical Engineering graduate from Texas Tech University. After graduating he joined Oncor electric utility in the Dallas Texas area for five years, working in the distribution part of the grid.

He comes to ICMI after three successful years in outside sales with the Pall Corporation, A Fortive company. Charley with work closely with three representatives; EV Smith, Engineered Power Sales and Irby Utilities. He resides near Dallas, Texas.

Steve Averitt, Humboldt TN, migrated from the role of Southwest Sales Manager to Southeast Sales Manager based on USA territory realignments in May. The territory maps were redrawn with the intention to increase travel efficiency, yield more customer and representative engagement time.

Steve started his career as a utility distribution design engineer at Decatur Utilities. He worked for a combined 11 years at ABB Power T&D and Westinghouse as product design engineer. He is a 12 year veteran at Reinhausen Manufacturing, Humboldt TN, working as electronics area sales manager specializing in the Transformer Automation products including TAPCON®. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University, E.E. specializing in Power Energy Systems. Steve resides in the Jackson, TN area.

Matthew Hilbert joined ICMI on May 1, 2016 after ten years employment with Qualitrol Company LLC, A Fortive company, as sales manager in the West Region. During his career at Qualitrol Matthew was the product manager for the transformer accessory product line, a direct outside salesperson, a sales manager and closed his career there as the Global Field Service Manager at Severon, a Qualitrol company.

He holds a MBA from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business, University of Rochester and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Union College. In the West Region, Matthew is supported by three representative companies; Young Power Equipment Sales, HighPoint Power Systems, and D’Ewert Representatives. He resides in the Portland, OR area.

On April 1, 2016 Jay Cunningham assumed to role of Managing Director at ICMI, reporting to the Reinhausen Director of Sales in the Americas in Regensburg Germany. He worked for Qualitrol Company LLC, a Fortive company for 11 years, serving 8 years as the Vice President of Global Sales and prior to that four years at Hathaway Corporation who was acquired by Qualitrol Company LLC. He then moved to Doble Engineering as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Jay said “We have an exciting future at ICMI and the team in Amelia (OH) runs a tight and efficient operation”. He has extensive experience in working with manufacture representative sales companies and in international sales.

He resides in both Cincinnati OH and Rochester NY.
